Our newest happy place... Bar Harbor, Maine

Day 1- We decided to drive to maine on saturday and left on monday. It was heaven. We stopped in a couple of tiny towns on our way up and ate at the Maine Diner. It was featured on the show Diner's, drive ins and dives which is fun so we thought we would stop there. Unfortunately we didn't get anything they featured on the show and everything we did get was sort of meeh. The atmosphere and little town it was in was quite beautiful though.

We arrived at Mt. Desert Island, ME around midnight I think. We set up our beds in our awesome camping cabin then got to bed as fast as we could. We were tired!

Day 2

We woke up and at breakfast at the cabin then headed out to explore the island, we did a lot of driving around the west side of the island so that Lola could get a nap in.

Our first stop after Lo woke up was a cute little light house- Bass harbor Lighthouse

There currently is some coastguard person who lives at this lighthouse- too cool!

After we finished at the lighthouse we went on a little hike on a trail I think called "wonderland" it took us out to a rocky beach with tons of tide pools to check out but unfortunately we didn't see much sea life.

This was where we ate lunch and we got there at the perfect time as it had just started raining- we got some delicious food like a fancy grilled cheese

It was still raining when we finished lunch so we headed back to the cabin for a much needed Nap time

After naps we went into the real town of Bar Harbor- we were in love. We walked up and down the streets, checked out the docks, and went in some of the shops until we were dying for some dinner.

We ate dinner in Bar Harbor at  Rupununi and along with coloring they had a basket of toys they brough to us- Miley kept on saying "Oh wow this is such a fancy restaurant"

we got to sit on an upper deck that looked out on this little city square- so perfect!

I got the most delicious hanger steak here- YUM

 After Dinner we went back to our campground where we had our first campfire  and Miley loved it, we let her stay up super late and we all told stories around the campfire. It was just one of the most perfect moments. Lola was asleep in our cozy cabin and we sat outside with Miley and created some really special memories. Also the stories she contributed were hilarious and also terrifying- one involved Jt getting killed huh????
