Chronicles of Love: Part III

Day 7: July 16, 2006

It was sunday and I made sure not to make the mistake of yesterday of looking like a train wreck. During sunday school there were tons of different groups with different teachers and JT happened to be one of the teachers so of course I ended up at his table. He did a great job teaching and I was very impressed.

Day 8: July 17, 2006
Monday. There was a special FHE that night with a speaker celebrating the upcoming pioneer day and yummy peach cobbler. After the meeting ended I went up to Jt and started talking to him about my heinous blisters from soccer on saturday. A bunch of us were getting together to play games at a friends house later that night so I casually invited Jt... he said he really wanted to come... But he had driven a girl here (insert crushing blow here, I was certain he must like her). BUT could he drop her off and then meet us there?? Rays of sunshine broke through my gloom, oh why yes of course that sounds great. He then ever so smoothly said "Why don't I get your number so I can call you after I drop her off to get instructions and stuff?" oh well of course! We left and I have vivid memories of Katie, Janet, and I freaking out in the car because I was so excited and  they were so excited for me hahahaha seriously my friends are the best. We all met up and played games, Jt sat next to me on a love sac and we just chatted and laughed and seriously had a great time. I was thinking he was prettttty darn cool and that I had a big crush.

Day 9: July 18, 2006

Tuesday was institute (a religious study class for young adults) I thought Jt was coming so I waited and waited to sit down in hopes that I could sit by him... he ended up being late and I sat with another boy. wah wah. However, after the meeting Jt came up and started talking to me, he casually mentioned before leaving that if I did anything fun this week to give him a call. I said "hey I have already invited you to TWO things, its your turn to do the inviting" He agreed and said he would text me. We also made plans for a bunch of us to carpool to a mariners game the following week (this is key for an awkward story later). I think within the next hour we are already texting back and forth... he starts asking if I have plans for tomorrow and something else and I quickly say "are you trying to ask me out on a date with a text message????" hahaha I think the phone rang maybe 2 minutes later with an invitation to go to dinner with him the following night. We talked for maybe 45 minutes, pretty long for a first phone call if you ask me! makes me smile just thinking about it. I was beyond excited.
