I figured that I better run some sort of race before my Ragnar so a week or two before I ran in a 5k race up in Mt. Vernon with Josh, I started out too quickly in trying to keep up with the initial pack so that was a good lesson to learn. I mostly enjoyed myself and ended up running it lots faster than I thought I could (maybe 28 minutes?). Afterwards that evening there was a fun firework show that our family, plus my parents, and josh and sarah and Co. all attended. It was a great weekend overall!
