An almost family reunion- La Conner Cabin trip

We had tons of family around for the month of June! Conner spent a week here between EFY sessions. My sister in law Lorette drove up from San Diego (by herself with 4 kids- what a champ) she stayed for 3 weeks and even that was not enough time! There were still a bunch of things on our to do list that we never got to. While she was here my brother Beckett and his family came into town with his family, we were only missing Noah and his family and Caleb. It was so fun to see Beckett and Co since we hadnt seen them since in over a year and we needed to meet their new baby, who is no longer a baby. We all went up to some cabins right on the water in La Conner and Grandma planned tons of activities for the kids and we had a GREAT time. Being that it was only about 20 mins from Josh and Sarah's house they also drove over for the days to hang out.  We had smores, skipped rocks, went on lots of beach walks, tried to catch crabs, found a driftwood beachfort, and I hobbled around with a garbage bag over my boot to keep the sand out ha ha! There also was a playground right next to the cabins which the kids really enjoyed and the kids were filthy dirty every night so they must have had fun! After the kids went to sleep the adults would get together to play games in my parents cabin, it was a really fun time (with the exception of my niece falling out the window while I was watching her... into a thorny patch of bushes, I felt terrible- thank goodness it wasn't too high up). I love my family and wish we all lived closer

We also spent some time checking out the tide pools at deception pass state park, it is definitely some place we need to get back to. It was lovely there!

oh. lemme take a selfie. turns out Lo hates those.

more interested in the "rock sand" than the tide pools

ditto for this one.
