MENG: Fo' months

hahaha her face here is the best- love that double chin! I cleaned lint out of it the other day :)

This little girl is soooo lovely!! She is now four months and growing completely WAY too fast. I love her babyness and she makes me want to have like 5 more babies.

Current stats: 14.2 lbs, 24 1/4 inches 50th percentile or something like that so she has slowed down her growth but this is pretty similar to miley's growth patterns so I am not too concerned. She took her shots like a champ and the doctor said the flat headness I was worrying about wasnt too significant and should resolve itself as she is more and more active.

Nicknames- Lo, Lola Jane, Lola Janey, Lola Janers, sister, Lo-lee, munchkin, pudge, pudgers, angel baby.
She loves to be standing up, she is great at tummy time now though she spits up large amounts almost everytime. gross. She loves toys. She is quite content to lay on her play mat and just bat at the toys hanging. She also really loves mardi gras necklaces and helping her play with one of those can cheer her up pretty fast.
Can roll from tummy to back and is SOO close to rolling from back to tummy- just has to figure out how to get her shoulders over.
She loves to talk and make a gurgling noise and high pitched baby noises and loves when we repeat them back to her.
still uh not the most scheduled baby. She does like to nap though and consistently naps in her own crib.
loves her pacifier and we find ourselves running in and giving it back to her as she starts to fuss so she doesnt completely wake up- bad habit but I just want her to sleep! Terrible I know, I am creating a paci monster.
Likes sitting in the Bumbo especially if Miley is nearby. They are finally starting to interact. Miley tries to play with her and loves to make her smile and often wants me to just bring Lola in her room so she can show her stuff and talk to her- melt my heart!
Still exclusively BF... my goal is to make it to 6 months buuuut I don't know if that is going to happen. I don't know what my deal is but I am having crazy miley de javu with colic/nursing, we are right at the same point of miley's extreme fussiness where I started giving her formula. I already struggle with milk supply and I just feel like my kids sadness/fussiness is somehow related to nursing- whether it be not enough milk, dairy in my diet, foremilk/hindmilk imbalance? I just dont know! I am not opposed to formula I just don't want to spend the money and have to wash bottles- I seriously do not enjoy that. Maybe if I can just make it to 5 months things will get better? We have also considered starting solid food earlier than we did with Miley to see if that helps. we'll have to see.
She periodically will sleep through the whole night- 9pm to 7 or 8am? But nothing consistent and if she really wakes up she just wants to nurse.
We are trying gripe water to see if that helps her night time fussiness which is like 9pm-12am crankiness but luckily not as bad as miley.
The more naps she takes the happier she is!
Sometimes her hair looks strawberry blonde, it is starting to grow in yay!
I love love love love her and so does everyone else! We all think she is just the prettiest little baby! I call her my baby snow white because her skin is so beautifully pale. I love that she is exactly how I pictured her when I was pregnant- this dainty, delicate, blonde hair, blue eyed, little princess. I am so happy with the name we picked out for my little girly girl.
She loves to be bounced, you can usually get her to laugh like that. She also likes peek-a-boo and holding your hands and touching our faces. She likes to "pretend thrown in the air" meaning she likes the motion but if you actually let go her face gets scared and her arms and legs go straight out like a little star fish.
When she sleeps in our bed she sleeps in the middle and loves to reach out her little arms and be touching both of us at the same time. Also if she is fussy and we both lay down next to her she will calm down like ahhhh I am safe with these two people.
She loves to do big open mouth smiles.
She is easily startled... especially by all of the shouts and loud noises miley makes, poor baby.
She spits up and drools alllll the time.
I tried not eating dairy for 3 weeks. it. was. miserable. I thought it was working at week 2 but then she got back into her old fussing routine so I said forget this after week 3! I LOVE DAIRY and eat it with every single meal. yummmmm.
She can sit by herself for a couple seconds but her downfall is that she either tries to straighten out and fall backwards (she does this anytime she is in a sitting position really) or she leans to far forward and it causes her to spit up. She loves to arch her back when sleeping or playing on the ground and it looks like her little neck must be uncomfortable but she loves it!
This little girl brings us SO much joy and happiness and we are in no rush for her to grow up.
