A sad day

I personally am very sad about the outcome of this election.

I hope the United States continues to be a strong and moral nation filled with hardworking American's who do not continually look for handouts.

What SERIOUSLY concerns me are the states that have legalized recreational marijuana use. I am astounded by this, what a slippery slope I will have to keep my children from going down. Substance abuse is something I feel so strongly about and with this legalization it will be commonplace by the time my children are in junior high. What is stopping the legalization of prescription drugs for recreational use? This nation is becoming a self medicating nation who has little faith in the human body to maintain its own happiness without outside substances. Why do we need substances to feel good? I am reminded of a small child who wants to only eat candy and whines enough that their parent lets them eat as much as they choose. Eventually there will be some sort of consequence, I am curious to see what that will be. (There is no trustworthy medical research proving that marijuana is harmful to the body and there is no proof that it has medical benefits so it appears to just be recreational and compromise the mind)

And my heart is sad because I REALLY believed in Mitt Romney. Thank you Mitt for being everything I hoped a presidential candidate should be.

Mitt is the man. Apart of me is grateful to not live in Washington. I miss that place, but I do NOT miss the liberal hippies. I am not surprised they legalized marriage or marijuana use. It disgusts me and frustrates me. Long live the south! Living amongst conservatives is refreshing!

I'm sad too - he's a classy guy. This man had the skills and experience to get our nation and economy back on track. I'm truly distraught over how America didn't see that.
