Whats that you say? It's My blog? Ahh yes yes it is and so I shall post as many photos as I choose of identical poses with similar facial expressions just because I love them all.
Lola Jane is three months old today and I still can't quite believe it. We have absolutely no schedule with her, can't remember if I had one yet with Miley or not at this age. Mostly I stick to Miley's nap schedule as our only real commitment for the day.
This little lady is... well... consistently inconsistent ha! I would like to say that there I certain things I know she LOVES and things she HATES but I can't really pinpoint anything. Sometimes she loves to be swaddled other days it drives her crazy. Most of the time she loves toys. Sometimes she likes music? I guess if I am being honest I am still figuring her out, and I think she is still figuring herself out.
The only thing consistent is the GAS. This baby has the worst tummy troubles. It makes me quite sad. She will randomly scream/screech and then squirm around and then a minute or two later let out a toot or two :( I have no idea what causes it, lame. I have tried many things to fix it nothing is working quite yet.
She is spitting up less and littler amounts which is great! She also is smiling a lot. If she loses you in her line of sight then finds you again she smiles and smiles. She doesn't make a ton of baby sounds but definitely does more with JT when he tries to baby talk and repeat her sounds. Its pretty cute. She is getting chubby little legs and is So kissable. Multiple times a day i find myself rubbing the top of her head and kissing it because her hair is so soft (I am surprised there is still hair left).
She nurses about every 3 hours sometimes longer if she is sleeping. She still wakes up in the night. I find the concept of "sleeping through the night" to be an interesting one. I don't consider my children to be sleeping through the night unless they are going to bed at like 10 then sleeping til like 7- with zero assistance from me. She is definitely not doing that. My best guess is that she sleeps from about 11-2 then 2-6 or 7. This is fine with me because she really only wakes up to eat then normally goes right back to sleep.
She has rolled over maybe 4 times from tummy to back... probably would do it more if I was more valiant with doing tummy time. She hates it. I hate it. I hate having a happy baby then laying them down and letting her cry for the next 10 mins then spending the next 20 mins trying to calm her down. Due to this I feel like her head might be getting a little flat so I need to check with her dr about that one. She loves to sit on your lap and stand up as well.
She enjoys laying on her back to play with toys dangling in her face. She is good at batting them and sometimes grabbing them. She has recently started to pull things toward her mouth to chew on them. She has really found her hands and loves to suck on them. Can you say drooly mess? Yuck.
She continues to be a BEAUTIFUL baby. I love her face, eyelashes, pale skin, blue eyes, and blondish hair (somedays it looks strawberry blonde??? where did that come from?) it is starting to come in thicker too yay! She also has started to be a bit more cuddly and will rest against my chest if she is really tired and will let me carry her in the ergo facing in and the moby wrap.
Fussy in the evenings the past few days (chalking it up to a growth spurt) and the only thing she wants is to be held. And held facing out with her legs dangling. So particular. She loves being in the Moby wrap this way and will usually fall asleep which is nice... but then her head starts bobbing so I have to try to get her out and stay asleep which usually does not happen.
She has started to laugh, I have yet to get a good video of it but I am trying. She loves patty-cake when you have her do the motions with her arms, same goes for the BYU fight song, and basically any high pitched noises while making her arms moves does the trick. She also is becoming ticklish right up by her neck.
Miley is trying to play with her more and its so fun to watch. I am loving how she comes in in the morning and we all lay in my bed talking to Lola and telling her how sweet and cute she is. Miley will repeat phrases I say to Lola and it always cracks me up. One of the ones I love is when she will copy me and say "look at those fat cheekies, look at those fat cheekies" or if she is crying she will run over and say in a high pitched voice. "you're ok, you're ok"
She is in three month clothes and is not too great with a bottle. Turns out that she just is bad at eating anything really hahaha. She just doesn't latch on to anything so great. oh well she is getting fatter by the week so I try not to worry!
SO happy to have this little girl in our lives, its funny to me as I type this out that she seems like a "fussy baby" but she really doesn't feel that way to me. She is lovely and fun and makes me want to have like 5 more babies, not even kidding.
The lingering hip pain I STILL have from the pregnancy makes me second guess that last desire since I think after like 2 more pregnancies I will not be able to walk anymore. Update on me- I feel, well, down right flubbery. I can't get into a routine and my guts are mush. We'll work on that one.

She is just adorable!! It's pretty common for babies to be fussy in the evenings, I think. Both of my boys were fussy from about 6-9pm until they were around 3ish months old. I don't know what it is about the evening? lol. Also, Easton has terrible gas issues as well!! My doctor told me that when babies are small, they have a hard time digesting certain things that come through in Mama's milk. I finally started cutting out dairy, and the tummy troubles went away! (not saying that it's the dairy in your diet that is causing it, but every baby is different, maybe you could do some trial & error with what you're eating?). I only stayed away from diary for about 6 weeks, and in that time, he was a completely different baby. After 6 weeks, I slowly started introducing it again and it didn't seem to bother him. A month can make a huge different with their tummy development.
Wow. I totally didn't mean to write this much! lol.
