This post is overdue but I think I should at least attempt to keep up with blogging so oh well.
oh and I posted lots of pictures because well... I like them.
We went to Moab over labor day with James and Taylor! Can we just say after three different adventures together we LOVE being out of town with their family! I had so so so much fun and laughed more than ever. We went to Arches national park mainly and spent about 45 mins in canyonlands... due to some mapping problems. We drove for about 50 mins the wrong direction, then turned around once I pulled out the handy dandy Old-timey map. We then spent an hour driving back and I asked Jt... "Do we have enough gas" he said "oh yeah we have plenty".... we did not have plenty so then we drove the right way and got ALL the way to the park entrance and were almost completely out of gas and I was terrified we were going to run out so we turned around AGAIN and drove back to the main highway for gas then got to the park at dusk of our last night and saw a couple places before it got really dark. It was pretty funny. Oh yes then we got lost in the park.
Another day I packed a picnic lunch for us... and I had all this great stuff but sadly left the SANDWICH MEAT back at the campsite so we ate mustard, cheese, lettuce sandwiches. yuck. Also Miley was an angel, we hiked to the delicate arch at dusk/night and she did great except for the walk back... she pretty much cried the ENTIRE 2 miles or whatever. my bad. James freaked me out and told me that her cries of "weakness" were going to attract mountain lions. We had dutch oven pizza, tried "baggy eggs", and yummy tin foil sweet and sour ham dinners.
James and Tay were able to borrow their friends tent trailer- holy cow I never want to camp in a tent again! It was the absolute best, there were two big beds and even room for Miley's porta crib. We can't wait for our next trip with the Brinkerhoffs, I am thinking a cruise or Disneyworld??!!
Jt was awesome and carried miley everywhere in the front pack and it was like a MILLION degrees out. yuck.

That is SO fun! I have been in Utah for six years and Never gone to Moab! I seriously want to!!! I am VERY impressed that you were able to handle little Miley while camping!!!
That was sooo fun! I am glad you posted all those pictures. I stole some. I totally forgot about licking the rock until now. Thanks for the memory. :)
And Miley was a serious rockstar that trip. Only if every baby was as awesome as her I would have 19.
Glad you guys had a good time. Rusty and I spent 3 weeks there in the spring for his job and had so much fun.
