yes we got booted. SOOO annoying- what if I was still pregnant and in some medical emergency? We wouldn't be able to drive away. As annoying as all of this is thats not even my biggest gripe. Its the institution of university parking as a whole. Provo is a college town- the COLLEGE was here before much else! How can you anticipate an entire community filled with single 20 something year olds who wouldn't need to park? There is just seriously NO parking. lame. On to my next point. Who actually gets jobs working for the most HATED company in the city. seriously everyone hates the parking people- you couldn't tell anyone your job or your car would get keyed. Bringing me to my next point- the people they hire are total umm whats the word?? sorry the only words that come to mind are tools. Its lame guys who I am sure drive hummers their dad bough them and talk about how awesome they were at highschool sports. Exhibit A:

dude: Ok where are you at?
Kali: (confused because the time on the paper said he was here 6 minutes ago... 6 people- he forgot that fast) Uh alpine village
dude: what kind of car do you drive
kali: white mitsubishi outlander ( contemplating again that he JUST booted it he should remember except now as I ponder he probably booted like 15 cars in those six mins he was gone)
dude: Ok I can be there in 15 minutes
kali: uhh ok
15 minutes??? How far away did he get in 6 minutes? and he ended up taking longer than 15 minutes then wouldn't get out of his car he just sat in there chatting with his buddy and finally Jt rolled down the window and asked "uhh do I need to come over to your car" and he said "yeah i gotta do all the stuff in the car" wow thats convenient for you dude since its like 35 degrees out. then he left and we watched him go through the parking lot again looking for MORE people to boot. UGH I HATE THOSE PEOPLE! I think it is some form of theft for them to do NOTHING and collect money for it.
However life is ok because Miley is still adorable and we have gotten her to smile for us a couple times- real smiles!

The JT update- he is all doped up on pain meds pretty much after every meal. but that is ok since he can now keep food down and function somewhat! Turns out (well drs best guess) is that he is having gall bladder attacks. His gall bladder is only functioning at 20% (34% is the very bottom end of anything even close to normal) soo basically instead of squeezing out 100% its only giving out 20% and apparently thats painful. So we met with a surgeon on tuesday and he is scheduled to have it removed on the 29th, sadly which is when all our family will be here but oh well. We wish it could be sooner but due to the steroids he has been on the surgeon is a little nervous that he will be at high risk for infection since his immune system is basically inhibited to get the inflammation from the colitis to go down, so they want him to be off it for a little while before they do any incisions etc.
So thats us. Also buying diapers sucks- we go through soooo many and I am still struggling with keeping Miley from getting horrible diaper rashes. just a thought

The diaper thing will slow down eventually.. but yeah, it sucks. What diaper rash ointment are you using? Everyone told us to use Butt Paste, so we did thinking it was the best, and when it did nothing we finally switched to Balmex the rash was gone over night. Just a thought.
I see the Yoda in her, but she's quite a bit cuter than him haha. That sucks about getting booted.
And have you tried switching diapers? Sometimes babies are sensitive to the chemicals in one kind vs. another. There are a few more natural ones out there that are gentler, too. We just gave up on disposables altogether and use cloth now. Not a single rash sine the switch! Yay! But definitely more work, and with coin-op laundry it would be yucky. We always used Desitin and it worked for us... just experiment and you'll find something that helps. Try going diaperless and get some air on her bum, that helps a LOT. Just put her on a towel or something first, lol
amen to provo parking. i've been here almost 6 years now and i'm sooo ready to be away from the parking people!

Scroll down a little there are two coupons for huggies (3.00 off one package) and then a 10.00 off 20.00 coupon at Kmart so you can get two packages for 2.00 a piece. Maybe that will help! I think that we should make a tool to open wheel boots, and then take donations to fund a not for profit company that goes around taking them off and throwing them in the trash!
James got booted when we were dating. He parked quick in the apartment lot he didn't have a sticker for, we ran in my apartment to pick something up. When we went out to the car 3 minutes later, he was booted. And same thing- took a lot longer for the guy to come back. It's such a scam. James is an engineer, let's get him to invent such a tool. He'd get a nobel prize for it.
