We then went out to lunch with jeffrey at buffalo wild wings, a place JT has been telling me about for soo long and it was delicious! However then we got stuck in 2 hours of traffic on the way to our hotel, the Southpoint. We finally got checked in around 5 after waiting in a huge line. We dropped our stuff off and headed out to the pool. It was really relaxing and not too crowded. The hotel turned out to be suprisingly nice and we would definitely reccommend it.
In your room you get this neat coupon book that gives you all sorts of discounts. We found one that if you bought two entree's you got two free desserts! We ate at a yummy italian restaurant called Don Vitos and got free cake and creme brulee.
The next day we went to claim jumper with Shaun and britt and then headed to our next hotel, Mandalay Bay. We hit up the wave pool and lazy river and tried to get a tan.
We got all spruced up for the evening and thanks to good friends got some great tickets to the Show THe Phantom Of the Opera. We had a blast and were thrilled we got to bring our snacks in with us! Afterwards we got a backstage tour, which was amazing. The set for the show is so complex and seriously I was in awe.
The next morning we decided to showcase our swanky hotel which had a cool conversation couch chair type thing so that you can relax facing each other, a very luxurious bed, a jetted tub, and Tv's in the bathroom!
We then went to siegfried and Roy's secret garden and dolphic habitat. We sat watching the dolphins and then got sucked into the lions and tigers. We stayed for about 2 hours just watching them play around, it was sooo cool. We even saw one white tiger cooling off in the water which suprised me because I thought they hated getting wet!
Next we checked into our last hotel the Encore. Wow. It was the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. There was a really luxurious pool that all of the lounge chairs were padded, you got two towels and it was not too crowded and really relaxing. Back in our room we had a huge soaker tub and separte shower, robes, 1 wall that was all windows with electronic curtain openers so that you could open it while still in bed as well as a control panel to turn off all the lights too!
That night we went for a gondola ride and then out to dinner at Cafe Ba Ba Reeba. It was soo delicious and we definitely suggest eating there. they have this salad with apples in it and it is amazing.
After we finished dinner we got some gelato and walked back through the wynn and encore shops.
We stopped in Brandon Albrights ( who got us the amazing deal on the hotel thanks soooo much) jewelry store that he manages and I got to try on this 16,000 dollar necklace. I thought it was pretty funny that it was just on like a black rubber chain.
The next morning we grabbed breakfast at the cafe in the encore... it was not a deal. We got like yogurt and granola and a breakfast sandwich as well as an OJ and some milk... 36 bucks. Ouch. Won't do that again. The cafe was decorated in all Red and it was sooo hip! I loved it.
After we checked out of the hotel we went back to shaun and brittany's. We went swimming with Kd and britt and then had a bbq with a bunch of friends. We then got in the car and headed home! It was a really fun trip. We are both in shock that it has been a year already. It went by so fast. We hope this year goes a little faster and that it can be just as exciting... we still feel like newlyweds!

KALI!! Wow! That trip/anniversary looked amazing. I wish I was that creative.
What are your plans for the summer and the near future after that? Are you still in Utah? I feel so lame, I have no idea.

Sounds like a fabulous anniversary! Congratulations!
Kali!! You guys are so cute together it looks like you had a lot of fun! Also, the way I get my pictures to have the little curved edges is... I just copy and paste them into a power point slide, choose the picture shape (the one with the rounded edges) and then save the slide as a jpg. If you need help let me know!
