What we do...

We aren't the most exciting people but we have fun together... here are some of the activities I try to entertain Miley with. It's sad to say but one of the way I judge whether the day was oober successful was if I was able to keep the TV off until Jt gets home... silly I know :)

Painting a masterpiece

said masterpiece... she got a little help with the hearts

Picasso

Miley seriously loooves her rain coat and boots... this day she also happened to not have any pants on ha ha!
Singing in the Rain
We also found a Dora bike at a huge consignment sale in our area... she really loves it but gets frustrated because her legs aren't quite long enough (or strong enough ha ha) to really get around on it!
"riding" her Dora bike... she hasn't figured it out quite yet
how cute is jt helping Miles dog. Love it

We also are part of a babysitting swap on friday nights... Miley LOVES it. This was when we had the kids over and they played some sort of dress up/birthday party/ tea party.

Two of the girls that come are quite a bit older then Miley and it is AMAZING what playing with older kids has helped her learn. She is amazing at playing pretend and often will come up to me and say "See ya mom I'm going to the park" then push her stroller into the kitchen and exclaim "I am at the park!" She also will take her blanket and make it into a circle and say its a swimming pool then jump into it. Lots of times I find her in her room trying to play the same pretend game she was playing with her big friends. It is so fun to watch her learn and I am amazed at how fast she has picked it up. At the same time I wish she would slow down just a little :)

That is soooooo me too. I always think, well if I can keep th tv off until naps, it has been a good day,. Or, if I haven't done a show back to back, it has been a good morning. LOL BUT unfortunately, those days are sometimes rare, but I try hard everyday! It is just hard sometimes because brin sits so quietly and give me a few moments of silence.

It is so true about playing with older kids. Brinley's cousin is 5 and when they get together I swear she grows up more in those few days than in a few months. I always always tell her, just pretend you have water! Instead of giving her a cp full of water to play with. It lets her "pretend" and helps me keep the messes to a minimum!

PS I didn't think it would happen, but Miley's hair seems to be getting curlier by the day! She is such a doll.

pretty sure I can say a day has been successful if we leave the T.V. off. That is basically how I judge my cool mom award for the day or not.
