Festive-ities- What we have been doing to be part of the season

Well we kicked off October by getting jobs at THE HAUNTED FOREST....

JT was this guy...(below)

Just kidding he was this guy- Yes thats right a ticket salesman. The most common question we were asked was "is it scary?" and "Can I pay with a card?" People never really got the signs (please note the plentiful CASH LINE signs in the picture) and honestly did they expect us to say its NOT scary? Its a HAUNTED house, not a doll house or play house, dog house or Grandmas house. aka haunted means scary. We always got a good laugh about it. So we worked there every friday and got promoted to saturdays too because they loved us! We were able to earn all our christmas money YAY! On Halloween JT finally convinced me to go through the haunted houses ( Yes I worked at it for a whole month LYING through my teeth about how SCARY and FUN it was) Anyway I did pretty good right up until the very end. There was this one room and we got to the very end of it and I turned around and there was this clown from a SAW movie- I guess?? I haven't seen it- on a little tricycle riding full blast towards me I screamed for probably 15 seconds. then my heart stopped. Then I started crying... it was an ugly turn of events. Needless to say I have reached me haunted house quota for the decade.

Then we carved Spooky pumpkins with a nightmare before christmas theme- Jack the pumpkin king and the oogey boogey man!

We carved them with mal and ryan and they created darth vader and a crazy pumpkin face.

We then had our ward Halloween party which was pretty much our halloween... JT was a VERY good Count Dracula and I was his counterpart bat. I was going to get some bat ears or mask thing but we ran out of time... and money.

And eventually we moved on to the Harvest Season and headed out to the corn maze at thanksgiving point- we played tether ball and lasso'd calves and wandered through the corn maze-

The CORN STALKS!!!!

We had a really fun time this october and are very excited for thanksgiving and the christmas season and we are already listening to CHRISTMAS MUSIC!!!

How fun!! Looks like you guys had a blast this Halloween. I must confess I am two for two these past two Halloween's for crying in a Haunted House. Well, this year I didn't actually go in a Haunted House. I ended up waiting for Nate and a group of friends to get out of the haunted house and ended up getting scared by some guy who came out the blue and started growling at me. Yeah, definitely scary. Oh and I went to the Haunted Forest last year. Nate absolutely LOVED it! I, on the other hand, am the biggest wuss ever. :)
